Trip to the Zoo

Today was our trip to the Atlanta Zoo. We had a good turnout. Six kids and three adults. Last week we painted the classroom in the basement and in the coming weeks we will finish the painting (second room and second coat). But, it looks pretty good and makes the place look pretty good. As you can see from the photos Pastor Cyndy came with us and her boys. We all had a great time. We got to see the baby panda, a Zerba, tigers, lions, and apes. Plus a lot more. It was a nice day not to hot and not that crowded. We had the younger church kids and one youth member today. As you can see our youth group member thought he was a toddler. I think his mom had to pry him out of the kiddy toy. No meeting tomorrow night. I will see you the following Sunday night.

Sunday Night Meeting

With a small group tonight we changed our plans. It was way to hot to play outside so we took a trip to the Recycle Center with a van full of stuff. Than we stopped for ice cream on the way home. We are also planning on painting the children's room at the church next Sunday as our service to the church. It should be a lot of fun.

Sunday Night Church Clean up

Tonight the youth group had a church clean up night. We did not have a big turn out, but we did get the church cleaned up a bit. Swept the floors, mopped, took out the trash, cleaned the kitchen up, and a few other minor things.

Now that we are getting back onto a schedule with school starting we are expecting more regular turn outs. See the posted schedule for events and meetings.
